Only The Brave.

H&M HAT, TORY BURCH JACKET, H&M BUTTONDOWN, F21 SWEATER, UNIQLO JEANS, ALDO BAG, DOLCE VITA FOR TARGET BOOTS

...plus one of my favorite magazines.

After today's 3 hour group interview for Diesel, I realized how much I love being:
  • sandwiched between two people over 5'10
  • sandwiched between four people over 5'10
  • the token Asian girl in an entire group of 16 people
  • called "oriental"
Clearly, I'm a rug.

Ok, but in all serious-ness, I love pulling Ted's (you'll come to find I make a lot of HIMYM references) - I mean c'mon people: c-a-s-h-i-e-r, f-r-a-n-g-r-a-n-c-e. Other than that, they didn't lie when they said the interview was going to be fun mainly because it was. And my reward to going through an interview for 3 hours with a bunch of tall strangers? Jamba Juice and Doughnut Plant. Omnomnomnom.

In the meantime, I'll be in Brooklyn/Queens for the majority of the time being. Wish me luck!

Never Again Will I.

MATERIAL GIRL PARKA, VINTAGE CARDIGAN, MADEWELL SHIRT, AA PANTS + SCARF + SHOES + NAIL LACQUER IN L'ESPRIT, VINTAGE GUCCI BAG, F21 + CR + STUSSY RINGS, SIMONETTA RAVIAZZA SUNGLASSES

First off, can I just say: I normally stand like this when I'm waiting for something and on my phone. So it's not some kind of cool pose I do, although I guess it does make me seem a little pretentious; as if I'm getting important e-mails, texts from a million people, or scheduling millions of events. As if I'm so popular...

Anyhow, during the week, while I took up some university English assignment for someone, I thought about my next blog post (see? no life) and figured I wanted to make a list. Not just a list for people to read, but for myself as well (I like to look back on my blog, actually. No life, ex. #2). So here it goes:
  1. Never again (try) will I ever stress myself out by putting off a HUGE homework assignment to the last minute i.e. 5 assignments, and only 2 and half days to do it.
  2. I will never put on too much foundation because I'm considerate and never wanna smush my makeup on someone else's face.
  3. I will not leave this upcoming job because I need to: a. feel a sense of accomplishment by staying somewhere for longer than 9 months, and b. I need California to happen.
  4. Never again do I wanna read 30 pages under pressure.
  5. Never again will I do homework assignments on my bed. Laying down. On my pillow.
  6. I will not (try) buy anything until after the summer.
I already feel a bit of accomplishment coming over me.

I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way.

H&M CARDIGAN + BAG, AA BODYSUIT + BELT, MADEWELL JEANS + SHOES, F21 + CR + STUSSY RINGS, SIMONETTA RAVIAZZA SUNGLASSES

What better way to spend a beautiful 70 degree weather day outside of the city, taking a roadtrip with the people you cherish the most (besides driving in a convertible with the top down, and maybe with my family members too, but who's complaining)?

My favorite part of the day besides the weather? Walking past Hermes 3 times, inside jokes and constant giggling, court food (YUUUM for fake Chinese!), and getting lost in Clinton (FYI: the ghetto. Thank goodness we didn't take the big, shiny Lexus. But I digress.) and ending the day with what other diner than ol' faithful Vegas.

Next time I go, definitely going for the cheesesteaks. Gino's and Pat's isn't ready for little Asian girls with big appetites all running on the same cycle.

TMI?

It's gonna be legen - wait for it - DADDY.

I can tell from the weather now, summer might be just a tad uncomfortable this year... But thank goodness for the beautiful show-off-some-skin weather with the some of the best people ever.

Thanks to Memosne for passing on The Stylish Blogger Award. One of the rules is to pass it on, but I'll sleep on who I'll do that to. The other rules are to thank the person who passed it onto you (check) and brag list 7 embarrassing things about yourself, so here it goes:
  1. I love doing housewife chores.
  2. I'm all for female empowerment.
  3. I have a dangerous, bank-breaking obsession with shoes. So far, I 've got about 40.
  4. Forever 21 stores confuse me. And so does their sizing. So I don't shop there.
  5. Foreign horror movies over everything.
  6. I don't do clubs and alcohol. Cuddling and/or horror movies indoors does it for me on a Friday night.
  7. I'm an awkward turtle. As awkward as it gets - that would be me.
Philly in the AM, goodnight New York City!

Puh-luh-eze.

AA SCARF + TIGHTS, (+ BELT NOT SHOWN), H&M JACKET, MADEWELL BUTTONDOWN, SAMANTHA PLEET ROMPER, COURTESY OF MY MOM, ZARA BAG + SHOES, CASIO WATCH COURTESY OF AA, F21 JEWELRY

All my girlfriends are back from college on Spring Break - YAY. So naturally, I hung out with them and went thrift shopping @ Buffalo Exchange... Well, not so much shopping. More like, I tried to get rid of some old stuff for a little bit of cash, and then bought one itty-bitty thing...

...This! Isn't it fantastic? I knew there wasn't any need to try it on (hate fitting rooms)! I love the fun, bright colored Navajo print, which reminds me of this, which I didn't get the chance to buy. Thinking about it now, I'm glad I got to buy a trendy piece like this for only $17.50, compared to spending over $100 for a trendy name brand coat that I probably won't love next winter (and if I sound like a cheap-o, it's because I am. Having $ in your pocket for food > trendy clothes < classic, practical pieces though. But, seriously. Food. Above all.). And this spring and summer, you'll be seeing this featured plenty.

Minus the belt.

MADEWELL SCARF + CARDIGAN, MATERIAL GIRL PARKA, AA TANK, UO PANTS, VINTAGE GUCCI BAG, NIKE BLAZERS

So sue me: My pictures aren't taken by a DSLR, it hasn't been retouched, my room has the sunlight of a prison cell, and my hairs' eating my face. So. Sue. Me.

It's been awhile, I suppose, since I've hung out with my grandma, and as tired as I was from staying up until 3AM playing Plants VS Zombies, it felt good - not a I'll make it up to you or a pay you back kind of good, but more like a good feeling kind of good. Once again, it could be my PMS talking, but why shouldn't the person who raised me and spent the most time with me have my time and energy?

My brain is really all over the place. I feel so frantic. I need California to happen ASAP.

I feel like a lot of the clothes I wear are very 'man-repellent'. So why are there a bunch of dirty guys still trying to whisper in my ear and whistle as I walk by? Hm. Maybe they're crazy and I look equally as crazy? Nah, that couldn't be it...

It would make more sense to do this tomorrow but I'm so excited, I couldn't wait: We've finally made it to the half way mark baby. Can't wait to celebrate a million more half way marks with you sugar.

I'll be cooking a lot more often BTW, so stay tuned!

P.S. Found this so hilarious: "Is it a coincidence that National Woman's Day and National Sandwich Day are on the same day?" Naturally, it was a douchebag who said it, but since I have douchebag humor, it was an entertaining thought.

Untitled.

AC x MADEWELL JACKET, SAMANTHA PLEET ROMPER, AA BELT + TIGHTS, VINTAGE GUCCI BAG, AUSTRALIAN BRAND HEELS, CHARLOTTE RUSSE NECKLACE, F21 RINGS

My creativity went out the window, the door, and everything else you can exit out of. Who wants to read a long blog entry on a dreary, wet, and lazy Sunday like today.

Attended my boyfriend's elementary school friend's 21st birthday party @ a ballroom-like place in Long Island called Leonard's. I have no idea what came over me to wear sangria colored tights, but I thought the bright tights balanced out the darker colors on top. I realize the necklace is too bling so I'm planning to do an experiment to it - thanks to Michelle & Chriselle via Youtube. Stay tuned!

Thursday, March 3

Stripes, Leopard Print, & Mutated Strawberries

Both base colors are from American Apparel in Rosebowl

Please find it in your heart to forgive the appearance of my room given I still live at home with my grandparents, they're traditional Asian, and I don't feel the need to re-arrange anything since I'm barely even home to.

Moving on, this is typically what you'd find me doing if and when I've been out for nearly 12 hours the day before, and today is 33 degrees from 52 the other day, but feels like 10.

This past week or so, I've had a life changing idea.

Having such OCD, detailed eye coordination, a steady right and left hand, and my love for the Food Network's "Cake Boss", "Fabulous Cakes", and more, I had an epiphany: I love cooking/baking as much as I love putting outfits together! Now I feel like poop because I have no idea what to do. I guess that's the beauty/cons of finding yourself at my age... Plus. Although a pro would be doing what leading me to where I want to be and how I'd be getting there. I guess you can say the journey to self-discovery is pretty exciting and fascinating.

Let's go through step one first (as both my older sisters would say) and go back to school.

P.S. Just thought this was blog-worthy...
