"If it's not okay, it's not the end."

RAY-BANS, MADEWELL SCARF + BUTTON-UP + SANDALS + SOCKS + CARDIGAN, MATERIAL GIRL PARKA, AA SKINNY BELT, UNIQLO SKINNIES, JUSTFAB BAG

Things aren't at its best right now, but even still, they're all looking for the better. There are certain changes in the air that have me looking up - I've even stopped wearing that brown cardigan that I've been for nearly everyday last week (bag is not next - I love it)! Besides that - more importantly - the weather is getting closer and closer to Spring-like, I've acquired two other job opportunities NOT in the city, but rather only a 20 minute walk from my house. I purchased a beginner's watch today, courtesy of my girlfriend at American Apparel; it's not a terrible watch (although I wouldn't stick to Casio for the next two years) but it's something I've wanted for so long, and in the words of Derek Blasberg: "A classy lady owns a watch and is always on time."

With all these minor changes happening, I can't wait for the bigger ones (hair, West Coast). But I know that even all these changes won't replace the few major constant things in my life, and for that, I'm glad.

P.S. Uhm, hai noo shooz:
Just. Guess. Who.

sixtyone.

TRIPLE5SOUL DENIM JACKET, CABLE&GAUGE CARDIGAN, MOM-MADE PLAYSUIT, AA TIGHTS, JUSTFAB BAG, ALDO WEDGES

The day many people in the area have waited for (in most of the 5 boroughs, anyway) arrived! That definitely called for less chunky apparel, pedicures (did mine myself - how azZzn), and prettier colors. Although there was no sun, everyone made it work to enjoy their Friday.

The warm weather quickly left, just as it had quickly came with a wind advisory + dropping 20 degrees, and I just got news from my boyfriend that the wind will heighten to "threat level" at 12AM tonight.... WTH.

Hope everyone enjoyed the Spring weather tease though. I can't wait to have the full experience of it.

Baby, You Summa' Time Fine.

H&M JACKET, SHAE CARDIGAN, VINTAGE DRESS, AA BELT, LEGGINGS, JESSICA SIMPSON BOOTS, JUSTFAB BAG, CHARLOTTE RUSSE & STUSSY RINGS

Today was beautiful.

And that's all I really have to say.

And I cannot wait for 61 degree weather. Go New York City!

P.S. I want this girl's haircut so bad for the summertime.

Groundhog See, Mother Nature Do.

OLD NAVY JACKET, UNIQLO JUMPSUIT, SEYCHELLES BOOTS, JUICY COUTURE SUNGLASSES

Unlike Santa Claus, unicorns, and the tooth fairy, I believe in the groundhog and its shadow. There's nothing wrong with that... Is there?

News was: the groundhog saw its shadow which means we'll be having an early spring! And for anyone who lives in New York and saw the forecast knows how beautiful I mean: 51's to 61's, and hopefully, it'll stay this way for the rest of the winter until Spring, then it'll be even more beautiful! *crosses fingers*

Besides my demand for gorgeous weather - Happy (belated) Valentine's Day to all my lovebirds and wonderful singles out there. This was my first Valentine's Day spent with someone I'm truly and genuinely head over heels for. And I'm glad it was him. Happy 5 months, and Valentine's Day with forever more to come.

Back to the weather (I know. I'm a spaz), it was near the 50's this weekend but it had the almost-picked-me-up wind. Granted my boyfriend lives near a bay and the airport, but whatever. Besides that though, it was really nice; perfect day to spend out with your loved ones.

Took my American Apparel Flannel-Lined Rain Parka for a run today (even though it wasn't raining, still a perfect light-weight coat to throw on and alternative to my cape because it seemed so flimsy. I'll wait until there's a lot less wind) and my brand new American Apparel black leggings (first time I've owned leggings in almost a year - how did I ever survive?!). And if you must know, I got these Seychelles workman boots from LF in Flatiron since they were having a 60% sale (go me!).

AA PARKA, LEGGINGS, SHAE CARDIGAN, HB TEE, FP SHORTS, H&M BAG, SEYCHELLES BOOTS

P.S: Got this in the mail today. Thanks baby! & I wasn't selfish: I made him Chicken Teriyaki, courtesy of Sandra Lee and Mama Le for letting me use her kitchen. <3

Thanks JustFab.com for the ultra cute Soar bag.

S/S '11... I can't wait; PT. II

Seriously, with all this open-toed, open shirts, neon colors, and happy looking stripes for Spring/Summer '11, it just makes me a little depressed that I'm stuck with a quater inch thick ice and 30 degrees. The groundhog saw his shadow so I'm going to be optimistic and follow what the furry thing saw. I mean, it's never wrong right? Animals have some sixth sense about this stuff, so let's stock up for an early Spring.

Just read on nitrolicious about Target collaborating with Dolce Vita once again for their Spring line of open toe wedges, in very neutral and metallic colors. I bought from their Fall/Winter line and I love those combat boots to death, and for $35, you really can't go wrong. Once again, the line is affordable and totally chic. I'm going to check this out in stores and try them on, but if anything, definitely the rope wedge in the nude color.

I'm being a little inconsiderate and just posting up this shoe because I'm in love with it. There's more sandal wedges - just check out here, and their F/W '10 line is on sale for dirt cheap here. I'm thinking about the strapped ankle boots, although I wouldn't mind the oxfords, but I'm scared they'd make my feet look long... I hope my shoe fetish will take me on the right direction of shoes this season since there's so many yummy things on the rise.

And wouldn't these shoes look good with Opening Ceremony's collaboration with Levi's Chambray line coming out close to next week? Love, love, LOVE the happy pastel palette and Terry Richardson's photography skill. Be on the look out for this collection!

I Can Live With This...

If you live in New York City, then you know that the streets have turned into everyone's own free ice skating rink with a quater thick ice. FYI, many of us don't own skates thus, tumbling to our asses. If not tumbling, then the ice melting so there'll be a problem with transportation. Nobody ever wins, not even the little ones this season. Thanks a lot Mother Nature.

Anyhow, onto better news, today marks the day of Chinese New Year's Eve which means, huge dinner, and for the next day, $$$. Which is exactly what I need since I'm po' and is also why my ass is in (no, not just of the dangerous weather conditions outside) looking like a bum (my fave!).

Speaking of internship... this is the view from my floor, which is my boss' apartment along with the office. Pretty sweet view of the Brooklyn/Manhattan skyline, huh?

And this the view at night:

So aside from some of the bonuses I get from working where I work, I picked this up today:

Remember from that post where I ordered the $20 dress off of PLNDR? Yeap, it finally came in despite the nasty weather; I even got 2 emails letting me know it might late. But I got it in today and was super excited (and I'm wearing it right now even though it's like, -10 degrees in this house) and I'm really loving the way it fits. I can't wait until it starts getting warmer in New York City, really.

Oh! And Karmaloop sent me this complimentary issue of Antenna, which is a men's magazine filled with a lot of useful info. Gonna give it to someone who needs it more than I do, clearly: my man.

Now, my wishlist. I'm a girl who's satisfied with a lot in my closet, but with FWNYC coming up, I need these things... BAD:

The Soar bag from JustFab.com, which is a really great stylish stuff with everything priced for $40 and free shipping. ...Did I mention $40 for everything and free shipping? Yeah. $40 and free shipping. On everything.

And the Blackberry Bold 9780 from T-Mobile, because well, it's time for my damn upgrade from the Blackberry CURVE (outdated, I know. Don't have to tell me twice) that freezes and resets and turns off by its own. I don't know what is worse than that. I can live with scratches and the lid dented, as long as everything works, technically and that's not what it's looking like right now.
