Stripes, Leopard Print, & Mutated Strawberries

Both base colors are from American Apparel in Rosebowl

Please find it in your heart to forgive the appearance of my room given I still live at home with my grandparents, they're traditional Asian, and I don't feel the need to re-arrange anything since I'm barely even home to.

Moving on, this is typically what you'd find me doing if and when I've been out for nearly 12 hours the day before, and today is 33 degrees from 52 the other day, but feels like 10.

This past week or so, I've had a life changing idea.

Having such OCD, detailed eye coordination, a steady right and left hand, and my love for the Food Network's "Cake Boss", "Fabulous Cakes", and more, I had an epiphany: I love cooking/baking as much as I love putting outfits together! Now I feel like poop because I have no idea what to do. I guess that's the beauty/cons of finding yourself at my age... Plus. Although a pro would be doing what leading me to where I want to be and how I'd be getting there. I guess you can say the journey to self-discovery is pretty exciting and fascinating.

Let's go through step one first (as both my older sisters would say) and go back to school.

P.S. Just thought this was blog-worthy...

2011, Here We Come!

VINTAGE SILK BLOUSE, GUCCI BAG, COH JEGGINGS, TOPSHOP BOUTIQUE SHOES

During the club event @ Viscaya hosted by FusionNYC, I've had not too many highlights:
  • I discovered my new found love for Amaretto Sour
  • I got to kiss my boyfriend at 12AM
  • It was our first NYE kiss
  • I got to wear my Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm in Passion
  • I got to spend New Year's with my boyfriend and my bestfriends
Hope everyone had a great New Year's!

Be a lady, not a tramp.

I can't believe there's only 5 more days until Christmas, then only a week after that until it's 2011. How quick this year's going by. There's not enough time in a year, I swear. Haha.

Anyway, my girls from Buffalo and beyond are finally back, I'm SO excited. I had the chance to hang out with them today but my body was killing me, and it was beautiful outside. UGH. ...Oh well, there's always tomorrow and a month. (:

So here are my new pickups from last week. I finally got a leopard piece... FOR FREE. The best, I always say. Haha. Found it in my closet, buried all the way in the back, I completely forgot about it since a couple of years ago it didn't really fit. & voila:

exchange by david charles, nine west

a book to live by - and I've only read 20 pages.

MAC brush cleaner works extremely well and fast. This 8 fl. oz will last me awhile since I don't put on makeup that often.

Slowly, but surely, I'll build up my shoe pile, get to wear them all, and I can't wait to show them off. Also, ever since I received that book from my sister as a Christmas present (along with strawberry headphones, yeah, I cheated and opened up early =x) I haven't been able to put it down, it's so good so far! & extremely helpful tips like how to balance your outfit out, the thin line between sexy and skanky, and table manners.

Happy reading, stay warm and I hope you've got your Christmas shopping and New Year's resolution down everyone!

Sunday, December 5

Ever thine, ever mine, ever ours

So I spent the weekend with my boyfriend, and as usual, I enjoyed every second together. We usually stay in on Sundays, but instead went out today.

ALEXA CHUNG X MADEWELL COAT, VINTAGE CARDIGAN, RL, AA TANK, SOCKS, COH JEGGINGS, ZARA BOOTS, UO BAG

First stop, Target in Flushing, Queens: I really wanted a piece of the Mulberry collection for Target, and as fate would have it... It was a disappointment. Carrying the patent leather satchel around seemed as if I was carrying around my little sister's dress-up bag. So, that saves my boyfriend $35. NEXT! So this is what I ended up with for this weekend:

AA NAIL LACQUER (FROM L-R) PORT, MANNEQUIN, HASSID AND OLD NAVY ANORAK

The jacket was such a good deal - only $30! & it seems super warm. I can't wait to test it out + my new dark nail polish for the winter season coming up. Tell me what you think!

Stay warm everyone!

Feelin' Grey.

Hello world!

So to start things off since this is my first post, one of my favorite things to do (besides being a sloth) in this cold weather is: my nails! And since it's been yucky and freezing, I've decided to jump on the heather grey nail polish bandwagon and finally try it out (seen on Kate Bosworth, Sienna Miller via whowhatwear.com).

This is American Apparel's Nail Lacquer in Factory Grey, which is an amazing color and totally affordable for those who want to try out the trend without having to drop $14 on RGB's Nail Polish in Steel. For those who aren't afraid to drop moolah on nail polish, should try Estee Lauder's in Gunmetal, which is a beautiful grey with a bit of a shimmer to it - fancy enough for the holiday parties and still neutral to go with any of your sparkly dresses (not that I'm encouraging festive green-and-red sequined all over dresses....).

Happy nail art! (and Happy Hanukkah!)
