Peekaboo!

WEARING: SUSAN GRAVER DRESS, FREE PEOPLE SHORTS, DIY STUDDED CONVERSES, BURBERRY SUNNIES (AS PER USUAL), F21 NECKLACE, GIFTED BRACELETS, & MK WATCH - ALONG WITH JAS MB + TOUR BAG NOT SHOWN.

I don't promote public indecent exposure, swearsziez. But I call fig. 1: Skanky Jewish girl. And then fig. 2 - me trying to keep you readers away from the gun show just goofing off, trying to show off do a pull-up.

In NYC, when it rains it pours and then right afterwards, when it's hot, it's... disgusting. But admittedly, I've been dying to finally wear flowy, shapeless, manrepelling dresses and outfits. I just wish it wasn't 90 degrees and no breeze at all. SHEESH.

DIY'ing @ 10AM.

CYNTHIA ROWLEY SCARF AS TURBAN - AA TANK - H&M SHIRT - DIY MADEWELL JEANS - JC LOAFERS - DEENA & OZZY (UO) BAG - BURBERRY SUNNIES - F21 NECKLACE

Am I the only one who'll wake up 3 hours prior to class so I can learn how to make my own turban? Probably.

Little did I know that wrapping a turban only take 1 minute and 6 seconds. So naturally, I went back to sleep.

I'm obsessed with scarves because 1. you can wear a scarf as a scarf but in a million ways (who knew?! see here + here), 2. it's a good accessory and a great alternative to a necklace, and 3. it hides bad hair days (see above as example). I'd link you guys but I seem to have lost it... well, get your lazy fingers and type in "DIY turban" on YouTube. Totes worth it.

This Cynthia Rowley scarf is amazing (I have 2) and so is the print. Because I felt like that the color and print was so bold, I put on a simple ensemble and called it a day. And because there are so many colors in the scarf, it pretty much matched my Deena & Ozzy bag. Preeeeeetty much.

to new friends

GAP DENIM JACKET - BRANDY MELVILLE TOP + SKIRT - TOPSHOP FLATS - ZARA BAG - F21 + THRIFTED ACCESSORIES

One of my close girlfriends - she just got back from school in Buffalo for the summer, and then she's off to Korea for a month. Sadface. More so, about the fact that I'm not small enough to fit into a suitcase. After getting her hair done, she let me take these fantastic photos of her. Thanks Alice!

MATERIAL GIRL JACKET - THRIFTED TOP - BANANA REPUBLIC BELT - DIY DESTROYED MADEWELL JEANS - JAS MB BAG - MELISSA SHOES VIA NITROLICIOUS VIA COPIOUS

This Material Girl jacket (you must be familiar with it) I wear every chance I get. Yesterday was pretty toasty, and here I was. Wearing this jacket on top of this thrifted (for $1!) shirt. Pre-DIY, these Madewell jeans fit perfectly, but then, I decided to DIY them - you can blame this. I almost threw them out, but decided to keep after test driving them out in public today (because, let's face it. Not even homeless people are this desperate). And who wants to holla at a girl who looks like she lives with cats?

I WIN AGAIN.

STUSSY BEANIE - BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB SWEATER - AA SKIRT (ROLLED UP) + RAINCOAT - MADEWELL BOOTS - MANHATTAN PORTAGE BAG // LEFT HAND: GIFTED BANGLE + MADEWELL BRACELET - RIGHT HAND: MK WATCH - GIFTED BRACELETS

Bet you didn't see this backdrop comin' eh?

Yeh. I like to keep people guessing. Like, this super non-oriental background for me.

If there had to be one month out of this entire year that stayed true to its season (and nursery rhyme), it's gotta be May. It's been decent temperatures, but raining a lot. It doesn't mean I'm no longer confused - I still don't know how to dress when the weather forecast reads 66 degrees. I mean... I ended up wearing this crewneck. AND jacket. So....

Anyhow, finals week are around the corner and I, for one, can't wait for them to come any sooner. It can pour - shitty weather can stick around for all I care, but no, not school. That needs to be done away with.

*BONUS (because 5 million pictures of myself are not enough.)*

Photo + successful, stealthy ninja-like creepin' to TwoKools for this beautiful photo. Also, visit her other blog, if you aren't already obsessed with her, here.

for that special someone

F21 dress - Wilfred silk slip (underneath) - Kate Spade "Little Kennedy" - Diba boots - Burberry sunglasses - Madewell necklace - MK watch

Yesterday was the perfect day to spend with your siblings, drive around, get lost, go to the mall @ 4PM, and drive around in the parking lot STILL looking for a parking spot. Not to mention, buy the perfect gift for Mother's Day.

Thanks to the Lil' Tam for being an outstanding sister and taking equally outstanding photos! Here's what she wore:

H&M cardigan - Made-by-mom romper - Minnetonka moccasins - boutique brand bag, bracelet, and necklace

When you're in Picnic Garden, go hard or go home!

Hope you enjoy your Mother's Day and/or make the most out of this special day for her!

highlights, hi-nights, high luck.

  1. Landed in Miami, in front of Miami Beach Resort wearing Olive+Oak sweater, MNG pants, JC shoes, Jas MB bag. Seriously, Vita Coco kept me hydrated all 4 days from this hot ass weather that roasted me all over.
  2. Boutique-brand ring, Vita Coco, and Burberry sunglasses.
  3. Our first dinner in Miami where everywhere we turned, we saw guys in white. Goal of the night: to be invited to wherever they were attending. Looked fancy schmancy. The end? Didn't succeed.
  4. Obviously loving my new camera. Wearing AA's dress. The perfect dress as a swimsuit cover-up and to go from beach to casual hang-out. I wore it not cinched, turning it into a trapeze dress. Manrepelling in Miami? Oh yes.
  5. Caribbean Coolada @ The Seabreeze Cafe. So perfect. With my not-so-perfect BB and RM wallet.
  6. Clear, blue skies. How lucky.
  7. TOUR in Miami Beach. See more here (awaiting for link. If you're antsy, Google that shit!) + like their page of FB. ...Don't act like you don't have one like people who lie (awfully) about not having an email. C'mon. Seriously.
  8. Having a 4-person Miami Vice @ Ocean's 10. In Miami. GET IT?! SO CUTE. AND NOM-ABLE.
  9. - 11. Our Saturday night, starting @ photos 9 + 10, and ending like... 11: blurry.
  10. (really 12. Stay focused here.) Seafood Paella fit for a mothafuckin' kingdom from BiCE Restaurant in South Beach. We also ordered Truffle Raviolis & Chicken Alfredo. A-MAZE-BALLZ.
  11. (and actually 13. I hope you're still following) The view from Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel's delicious restaurant, Cabana Beach Club. Miami Beach. The water couldn't have been any better. Just add pepper.
  12. (skip 14+15. Not drool-worthy enough. ...So this is actually 16.) Tropical Pineapple Fruit Boat, Coconut Fritters, and Tropical Cesar Salad with mango dressing and coconut bread croutons.
And obviously (I'm Asian. I take a million pictures. Don't question me.), I have more pictures but these are highlights. And God knows how long your attention span is.

Kidding.

More like, the rest are embarrassing. Curious? I know, right?

Boyish Charm

talula turban - thrifted vest underneath - madewell denim shirt (DIY dipdyed) - tory burch jacket - levi's - wilfred leopard belt - vintage ankle boots - kate spade 'little kennedy' - madewell necklace

grande gracias a mi bueno amigo, jordan.

Ok, no. Seriously. I'm really back. For good! Who's excited? I AM.

Too enthusiastic?
Ok.

Well, I purchased a new camera. It's all mine = I'll be annoyingingly blogging all the time!

So while I've been away, not blogging, I was still being productive - working on myself mostly and working hard in school (recent achievement = B in Spanish. Soy mucho bueno!). And while I thought working out wasn't considered being productive, my older sister, said something so profound: "As long as you're working on yourself - practicing endurance, patience, pushing yourself to the limit and going beyond - you're being productive."

Smarter, older, wiser sister... Where have you been all 20 years of my life? Sheesh.
